    We do not accept e-mail addresses for employers from free e-mail providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or BTinternet as they are so easy to set up they could be used by applicants to falsify references.   • What proof of savings does an applicant need to provide?

    If an applicant wishes to provide details of their savings as proof of affordability, they must provide financial statements for a savings account covering the last 6 months that show no money has been withdrawn from that account in that period – providing bank statements for a current account, statements covering less than 6 months, statements that are not current or statements showing money has been withdrawn from the account in the last 6 months will not be adequate to support an application.     You do not need to provide any references directly to Jungle Property – our professional referencing company will obtain the necessary references on our behalf. Applicants complete the tenant reference application online and our referencing company take care of the rest. The referencing company will typically seek references from any landlords the applicant may have had in the last 3 years (not just any current landlord) and current/future employer or accountant (where applicable).   • I am self-employed, what evidence do I need to provide for referencing purposes?

    If you have been self-employed for less than 12 months, a tenancy will only be granted upon payment of rent in advance for the entire fixed term of the tenancy. If you have been self-employed for longer than 12 months you must provide us with a copy of your most recent SA302 form which is a summary of your income that has been reported to HMRC or your most recent SA100 Self Assessment tax return.
