No – A landlord is NOT liable for tenant noise if:
- They lack sufficient control over the tenant’s actions
- They did not authorise the nuisance
- They did not participate in it
- It was not an inevitable result of the letting
Simply letting a property does not impose liability and a landlord is not responsible for tenant behaviour just because they have the power to evict
