Yes – Effective 1st June 2019 landlords can no longer include terms in a tenancy agreement that require the tenant to contract a third party as a condition of their tenancy such as a chimney sweep, pest controller for treating the property for fleas or parasites, professional cleaner, tenant liability insurance provider, tenant referencing company, third party liability insurance for a pet, vet or waste clearance company for septic tanks.
