Waste collection and recycling in Glastonbury is managed by Somerset Waste Partnership.
Each property should have:
- Large black or green bin – collected every 3 weeks – household waste that cannot be recycled
- Black box – collected weekly – paper, cardboard
- Green box – collected weekly – glass, bottles and jars, cartons
- Blue bag – collected weekly – plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays. Cans, foil aerosols
- Brown food waste bin – collected weekly
- Brown food waste caddy – stored in the property and food waste transferred to brown food waste bin for kerbside collection
- Large brown bin – collected every 2 weeks – garden waste {optional at additional cost}
