A written statement (e-mail or letter) from your current landlord or letting agent covering the following points:
- How long have you lived in the property with your pets?
- Which pets did you own during the time you have lived in the property?
- Does the referee consider you to be a responsible pet owner?
- Were your pets well behaved?
- Did your pets cause any damage to the property?
- Did your pets cause a nuisance to neighbours or visitors?
If the reference is to be provided by a veterinary surgeon, it should cover the following points:
- Are your pets generally well behaved?
- Does the veterinary surgeon consider you to be a responsible pet owner?
- Do you provide routine preventive health care, such as vaccinations and flea treatments, for their pets (when appropriate)?
