Yes – make it your home – Any pictures must be attached, fixed or hung in accordance with the conditions of your tenancy agreement which typically are:

Not to attach adhesives, blu-tac, bolts, fixings, nails or screws to walls or ceilings or woodwork without the prior written consent of the Landlord or his Agent. Such consent will not be unreasonably withheld and to make good at the end of the tenancy, or be liable for the reasonable costs of making good, any unreasonable damage or marks or holes caused by such fixings or their removal.

Not to fix or hang, any posters, pictures, photographs or ornaments to the walls or ceilings or woodwork other than solely with a reasonable number of commercially made picture hooks appropriate for the purpose and to make good at the end of the tenancy, or be liable for the reasonable costs of making good, any unreasonable damage or marks or holes caused by such fixings or their removal.

Any marks or holes in the walls, ceilings or woodwork that result from you attaching, fixing or hanging pictures to them must be made good at the end of your tenancy and we strongly recommend the entire wall, ceiling or section of affected woodwork is re-painted/re-decorated to avoid any ‘patchwork quilt’ effect of patching or filling small sections.

Jungle Property can provide details of recommended decorators or will gladly arrange the redecorating on your behalf at cost.
